pretty lies

pretty lies

A Poem by M

every time i heard those
three words
fall from your lips i knew
it was a lie
but i loved you so much that
i let you deceive me
every night

Another very relatable write... How sad those moments are, although we don't realize it at that time because we loved that person so much that even if they said those 3 words without any real feeling, we still trusted them... I believe many readers can relate to your poem... It speaks of the blindness and heartbreak we get in love when the other person don't love us back truly and act as if they love us.... Clappings!!!!! Well done....

Pleasure is quite the euphoric drug, and it is taken in any amount, until there is no more to give.

I love this. It's so simple yet it captures that sad/amazing moment almost everyone experiences. Very good piece of poetry :)

Yes we will accept pretty lies. Greed for kiss and touch overtake common sense. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.
