Call me by her nameA Poem by madelineIn a relationship with someone who doesn’t only see you.
call me by her name
or whatever you want to do i’ll still cook and clean our home for you. Because what else do i have? not the smile, or the tits. “almost perfect”, but not quite. that’s what you said, isn’t it? All i think about is how to make up for my ugly laugh, when my clothes aren’t pretty enough, or when i’m not the girl that’s like “that”. Not alone, but still lost. Could you do the laundry? or cook, or clean? while thinking of “them” dreaming of other “things”? at what point did i lack with my face, my voice my body, my act? maybe she is better than me, but i lie about being fine and about what’s crossing my mind all the time. so please, for me? just lie to me. © 2021 madelineAuthor's Note
