sun and the moonA Poem by madelineloving like the sun and the moonlike the sun and the moon, something had to give when i met you. long periods of borrowed time and endless hours of thinking about how far but how close we were. small in my stature, glowing in your nature. i was explored territory, old news. you were the desired heat; too bright to contain, too beautiful to ignore. one living in the night, hanging around some days because i couldnt bear the thought of letting go. i latched onto you so tightly it was a grip youd never know. i came to love our twilight zone, where we first met. a seemingly endless royal sky you and i dancing on our toes like born again lovers not afraid of what will come when the time for that colored goodbye is here. not afraid of the morning, where all love stories die. simply doing our destined dance, loving like the sun and the moon © 2017 madelineAuthor's Note
