My low self esteem

My low self esteem

A Poem by Maddy Raye

Every morning when I get up, I put makeup on my face.
I never go without it because it makes me down.
And every time I wear it I go without a frown.
My self esteem is low, but can I fix it now?
You think that I am pretty, but boy you know that's not true.
I wish that my skin was clearer in hopes that I'll be choosed.
You know everytime I see you, your looking out at her.
I wish that I was prettier so you would look at me.
I wish but I can't help it, but I have low self esteem.

Confidence comes with age , along with wisdom. Eventually you'll come to understand that this insecurity is something that absolutely everyone experiences. We are often times over critical of ourselves. Besides, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I know that this sounds like non sense but it is absolutely true. Many will be able to relate to your poem but I hope that many will also find wisdom in this review.

Thank you :)
Hmmm...reminds me of a song...I got a girl crush...great tune...I sing it in the tub when I feel betrayed...but.,,there is always tommorrow..
This touched my hearstrings...
At this point in my life...I have come to know..
That the real beauty really does come from the inside..
I used to think that was baloney, pastrami and motzerella...but now I know it's true...cest vrai...french...
Every woman has an inner Marilyn..
Learn to embrace your inner Marilyn...
You have so much to offer
Keep writing

it sucks but i just find ways to try to cope. its worse when you have a disorder that causes it
I believe soul has to be prettiest than face. After all skin ages with time rather soul nourishes with time in love

Bit of a heartwrencher this....wanting what you can't have, the guy looking the other way at that other girl.

Good verse, I liked it a lot. But beauty is not skin deep and some who think it is, need to wake up.
Kudos to you for this good little piece.
Mark.

I believe this will touch close to home for many people. Society and its nature is quite the fickle thing. Overall, great piece!
