How to waste time

How to waste time

A Poem by Taletwister
"

a childish whimsical poem written to amuse.

"

I often used to sit and wait

And stare up at the clock till late,

Watching each hand go tick

And wishing it would be more quick.

But now the time just slips by

And I do not even wonder why.

Four hours have slipped away from me,

Now time does not go slowly.

Whether watching the paint dry

or fiddling with my yellow tie,

time goes and goes

and never slows.

last week it was November,

but now I’m in December.

ill teach you my little secret

if you’ll promise that you’ll keep it,

I never let myself see

That clock that ticked so slowly.

I do not sit in and wait

And wish that it would be getting late,

I am always going out

And running all about.

I climb up the trees

And see what I can see.

And now sometimes Id like

To have more time to bike.

I wish there was more time

So I could finish this dear rhyme.
