Moment Past

Moment Past

A Poem by Taletwister

Full-black it was when we saw
The piercing stars above the shore,
The inward breath of the sea,
The sigh, as if a melody.
To be free of care,
Free of fate,
All to do was watch and wait.
Shielded by innocence
We kept our place.
Time came not,
Neither grace.
Not all was lost on that moment still,
Our feet unsteady on the hill.
We watched as our world did end,
Then waited for it to begin again.

The poem was beautiful and I envisioned a shooting star lighting up the sky for a moment and then crumbling to pieces. Such is life too and so are we who always have a hope in us to begin again and again. A very inspiring poem from your pen. Keep writing Taletwister.
