![]() Little GirlA Poem by Maddy![]() This is the first poem that I've written in almost 8 years, seems I had a long spell of writers block or rather lacking inspiration and the need to get my thoughts ans feelings on paper.![]()
I’ve been set alight with burning
Reminiscent and oh so nostalgic Wading waist deep in my searching Through the most innocent yet haunted logic The deepest of my dark, most concealed And so long forgotten yearnings Of a once unsure yet curious mind now revealed In all of its beautifully heartbroken childhood magic I’ve been connecting the dots Deciphering the hidden meanings Of those tainted banished thoughts Making sense of the erratic feeling Of a toneless tiny little voice With a way before it’s time vision Suffocating, cold and alone, inside the shadow of a soul Of a once very shy, insecure and scared little girl Forever haunted by consequence of choice Fighting a lonesome yet unyielding addiction For rightful freedom from control I’ve finally pieced it all together See the unchanged big picture Of a life so long thought barely tethered The final truth a most formidable fixture The tiny voice now blessed with piercing rejoice The misunderstood vision sparked into ignition To consume the shadow and rip open bright burning focus Of the once very shy, insecure and scared little girl Now redefined, emerging with the most gentle manner of poise Unique and steady as a one of a one limited edition Transcending all with her infectious hocus pocus © 2014 MaddyAuthor's Note
