A Poem by Maddy

I never wanted much

Maybe just a little love and care

I struggle from your clutch

You keep me in your sight

You always stare

Your hand has so much might

And it never eases its censure

Every day I feel like a mess

You keep telling me

What to do and how to act

I’m full up and I want to scream

I wish you could just see

That I’m not so bad

As a matter of fact

If you’re the sun then I’m the beam!
