Every day is an endless quest

To find the place I want to be

Every night is an endless journey

To find my soul and be free

In my mind is the endless road

To find my way, away from you

 

As I look at you I want to scream

You criticize my every move

My every word and feeling

You don’t understand and I don’t care

I just want to be free of this endless pain

 

As I hear you speak I want to die

I rethink everything I do

Whenever I’m around you

I hate the feeling but it surrounds me

I just want to get rid of my endless anger

 

As soon as I reach my room

I close my eyes

In here everything is my way

I sit inside my mind

My secret place

The doors are locked

You can’t come in

 

Sometimes I’m a hero

Saving people like superman

Saving the day like spiderman

Outside my mind and this room of mine

You make me worse than a zero

So I’m drawing the line

You can’t cross over

Even if I have to stay in here all day

At least I’ll do it all my own way

 

Some days I’m a superstar

Giving my money to stop every war

Using my time to do what is right

Joining with Anastacia and U2 to help to fight

The battles of cancer and aids

To help those who can’t

Speak for themselves

Against the people who abuse them

 

To shine a light

On everything vital

And everything critical

Before we have to remember

Before we hit the ground

Let your light shine bright

And let us together turn these flames

Into ember
