Chapter 22

"I think its time for me to go.. Text me?" He smiled.
"Sure." I smiled back. I showed him the way out, and was relieved. I could finally get 

something off my chest, that wouldn't hurt me. By now, I had a little crush on Eli.

He was there, even though I met him a couple of days ago.. But he is there.

Whenever I need him.

A half hour later, Jill and Sadie came home.

"Where were you?" I asked patiently. "We went to go look for a t-shirt for Sadie." Jill smiled.

"Oh." I stared. "So, what should we do for dinner?" Jill asked. "How bout some pizza?" Sadie said.
"Ehh, not in the mood.. You guys go." I said.

"Are you sure?" Jill asked. "Yeah, I'm fine."

It got dark outside, and Jill and Sadie still weren't back. I got a text message.

"We will be home in about 20 minutes." Jill's text read. I stared out the window, then looked 

back at my phone. "Alright." I replied. I turned the TV on. Everything was boring.. The news, everything.. But the news had something strange.. A war in Iraq. 1,923 people died after a bomb 

eruption. My Dad was in that war. I started to sweat.. "He has to be alive." I whispered to myself.

All of a sudden.. I heard a knock at the door.
