A call to thought

The time is now to starve the beast.
Deprive it of it lustful feast.
Replace its ability to lead
With our constant feel of need
Throughout history we have followed
This mindset has allowed
This type of thought to persist
Its quelled our will to resist
War, famine, grief, strife
These are facts of the led life
Its not leaders suffering
They sit in castles buffering
Its not lawmakers clashing
Its you and I mouth bashing
Due to our inability
To plainly see
Without you without me
There is no we
Millions will die
Leaders won't bat an eye
Billions more poor
When won't we take any more?
They rely on us
We make them prosperous
Stolen from you stolen from me
Planetwide prosperity
Only together
Can it be better
Cast aside doubt
Kick these deceivers out!
