Living the Lie

Living the Lie

A Poem by Madeline Man
"

This is a song that my band and I wrote. It is played with an electric guitar, bass, and drums. It is a relatively fast song, but it is unfinished.

"

You've got that look in your eye

That crazy "I don't know why"

You say the day is young

But I still gotta be strong

So whipe the tired from your eyes

And keep living the lie

This crazy masquerade

It's like you're marching in some brigade

You say the road is easy

But no one knows where it's leading

So keep your eyes on the green sky

And keep living the lie

This court room of jesters

Pupiteered by their creators

You say "to hell with the government"

But you're still awaiting their judgement

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
