What's Left For Me?

What's Left For Me?

A Poem by Madeline Man
"

This is an acoustic song still in progress.

"

People are always telling me what to do and what to say,

It's as if they think life's just one big game we all play;

People are always wanting more,

Asking for it through my door,

And what am I to say?

So I give it to them anyways;

(chorus)

Take, Take, Take

That's all people ever do;

And do I ever get anything in return?

Give, Give, Give

That's all I ever do

Secretly I wonder when I'll get my turn

And to my disdain,

They always leave me with hope and faith

But when do my wishes come true?

That's what I ask you

Not today, today, today

Not today....

So this song is played pretty fast, and as I mentioned it's not finished yet. I, however, would love comments and feedback! Thank you for reading!

Great song (so far?) I've been told we can all relate to most songs in one way or another, but I, with this one for sure. I am a giver. I give positive energy freely, but often wonder why most don't give in return, and what keeps me going.

My ears slam shut when a sentence begins with "you should". I sometimes go out of my way to do the opposite.

I look forward to reading more from you, Thanks for sharing.
