Nature's CurseA Poem by Maddi Snowden
And I but all buckled
senselessly into the eyes of a stranger with arms I was dying to know. But his mouth spewed hate and his heart hadn't known love in quite some time. But that's the tragedy of life, all the coldest, hardest people we meet were once as naive as dew drops and as soft as water. There is a strange advantage of being carried away by nature of being cold and cruel. He is no longer howling with a thirst for knowledge nor does he own a faint understanding of just what life turn him into. Despite the hate he speaks, his captivating eyes are widened to that fact and he will survive for quite some time. (M.S.)
