Falling in love with a curious one is being asked
a hundred questions for a simple thing. It is more then knowing your favorite book or your favorite color. It is knowing why that book and why that color, knowing what it is exactly about them that makes you feel the way you do. Falling in love with a curious one is being asked why you write the poems you do and what cities do you want to travel. It is knowing where you have been and what that place left inside of you and what you left behind. It is knowing how weddings make you feel and understanding what to say when they happen. Falling in love with a curious one is getting small text messages just to check up on your day. It is noticing what someone likes and what they do not like just by the look of disapproval written on the fine lines on their lips. It is knowing the text of someone before you even hit send. It is knowing why the reply that way. Falling in love with a curious one is like being dissected by a scientist with care and precision. It is being alive when they do so, learning what makes you tick and why. Falling in love with a curious one leaves you unguarded and unaware of just how much they have fallen in love with you. (M.S.)
