![]() The UniverseA Poem by Maddi SnowdenDo you think that the moon ever gets lonely when he thinks about the countless souls staring up at him wondering if their other half is doing the same and I wonder if the sun is tired of showing its face to the lovers who never learned each others last names and have we ever considered that the stars are not in our eyes or in our faults but in the passion of our breath and the raw beauty of being happy? Sometimes I think that the universe is working to try and push two people together by making a train late or by purposely breaking your heart. But I am beginning to think that I'm meant to take long walks at dawn and make conversation with the dew drops on daisies all by myself. And despite these thoughts, I am really hoping that the universe is rooting for us. (M.S.)
