I Was BeginningA Poem by Maddi Snowden
I was beginning to think
that no one could love me. That I was a broken collection of confusing paradoxes too nice, too mean too lonely, too social too shallow, too deep too devoted, too distant too passionate, too crazy. I was beginning to think that no one was ever going to take the time to see and understand that grey is an unfamiliar area to me. I was beginning to think that people were afraid of the girl with a cast around her broken heart. I was beginning to think that every possible negative thing I could think about me was true but then one day, I decided that I was worth more then the negativity that had darkened my mind and blackened out the reflection of a girl with pig tails and ribbons dreaming of falling in love and dreaming of being happy.
