A Poem by Maddi Snowden

When I was little
I raced raindrops
as they glided
down the car
windshield but
before I could
make up my mind
on what raindrop
I wanted,
they were gone.

As I grew older,
the decisions
I had to make
weren't as
insignificant
as raindrops.

There were decision
that led me
to a tall
bridge with cool
water below
begging to caress
a corpse

There were decisions
that led me to
walk away
with my life
in my palms.

There were decisions
that let me to
you.

And now I can't
decide
to stay
or
go.

I change my mind
so frequently
the only
things that
are certain about me
are given by
others.

Name, Address, Birthdate, Height, Weight.

If I'm being honest
I'm tied of
not being able
to decide on
anything.

But I think
I'll start small
with raindrops.

I loved the beginning when you said,"I raced raindrops down the windshield..." It was a interesting line and poem.
