Destruction of trees

Can someone tell me what happened;

the earth was green and the sky was blue;

I'm a bad detective, I have no clue;

early in the morning, the breeze should be cool;

atleast it could, gather enough momentum to sweep me off my shoes;

Mother nature is a friend indeed;

she gave the wind its speed;

put medicine and food in the leaves of trees;

we don't care if we hurt their feelings;

so we pull down the trees and pull up our building;

and if you think they don't hurt its a lie;

look at the wet season so you know how much the earth cries.

Author's Note

this is what I feel about what is going down in Mumbai, India. If this is all I can do to cause a change, so be it, it will give me some sort of satisfaction, well, I don't see you doing or saying anything about it :)
