Would You Sing with the Morning Bird?

Would You Sing with the Morning Bird?

A Poem by Jasmine A. Mack

Why don't you sing with the morning bird,
with its song so delicate and sweet?
Why don't you take a step in the darkness,
with nothing to fear?
Can you smile for joy,
and not just for public eyes?
What if today was your very last day?
Your last moments like treasured gold.
You would have nothing to lose.
Maybe then, would you sing with the morning bird?

ohh what thoughts..what if you had nothing to lose..just imagine
i always tried hard for that,i had a lot to lose, and rejected everything
just to feel so unchained to everything..i would be so free never in debt
to anyone, and i would do as i please,i will laugh and cry and rune down the streets like mad
for no one could tell me what to do ,no more..no more long thoughts and straining
your mind..you could catch the wind if you liked..no one on your back..so light
lovely write..

There are a lot of morning "grumps' out here...sounds like you know a few. Regretably it seems to be a habit that is started early and stays a lifetime...
I really wish you well with ANY conversion effort you try.

I like the heart of the poem... and the eyes that wish-it-were-better.

Take care,
Chris
