A Summer's Early DawnA Story by MacciolaWritten 4/2/16. A memory of often waking up in the early morning in my grandparents' bed
In the late hours of the night, disturbed from the dreamless yet calm rest, unwillingly opening your eyes to the darkness, except for the dull passing lights above, continuously brushing through the blinds. The hum of the cars and the gentle breathing of the shared bed are present, yet the mind is quiet as I try not to look into the mirrors that surround me; even though it is still at the moment, static will erupt if provoked. I stare at the glowing ceiling and let the symphony of drivers lull me back to sleep.
