A Lack of Sun

A Lack of Sun

A Poem by M. Chary
"

I try to juxtapose the feelings of purpose and subjugation external commands can give.

"

 A Lack of Sun

On us

Leaves important pockmarks

Forces our gaze to earth

On each passing shade

My world cools

Makes others humble to keep warm

To keep spirits up, for this

Walking through that garden convinces me

That being here every day

Meant something it no longer does
