rage

rage

A Poem by mabel mae

rage is the most powerful tool.
it stays
and it suffocates.
a little more than anger
and a little more than sadness.
rage is a feeling of numbness.
it’s the numbness you feel when you know you’re forgetting.
it’s the numbness that fuels you.
it’s a sort of power that encompasses you.
and you breathe it.
in.
out.

Anger surely is annoyance at something that might be logically sorted out. Rage, however, is illogical because it becomes uncontrollable, even maniacal. Big difference. It dilutes what should be the norm, yes.. even removes the power to breathe as should. more so, the power to rationalise. Perhaps?

Rage is most powerful when numbed by sadness, forgetting the feeling that encompasses suffocation, I still fight against it...
Even though the only solution seems to be breathing it.
Well written...

well said. anger is a controlled response, rage is irrational, out of control and undoes itself. it is a powerful thing but only when it can be harnessed and reeled in for a purpose.

Mable Mae,
But rage is a firecracker and tends to explode itself away... It is HOT HOT HOT, and dangerous for an instant. I fear anger with its smoldering embers that never go out much more...

rage is cleansing but in a very bad way. These are how war crimes happen. Not through anger, but through rage.
