i hope you don’t come back.

i dedicate my whole life

my brain

my heart 

my soul

all to this

this mess of a 

masterpiece of

my own destruction 

and i know it

just seems like a

run on sentence 

by now but i

don’t see the

point in trying so

hard to write 

a poem so

perfect that one

day you see it 

and you say,

“wow, that’s my girl,”

because you don’t 

actually care enough to 

notice or know that 

i’m a

poet

or that i’m 

even alive so

why do i

still write thinking

that you will see

it and think

of me sometimes?

That speaks so much of a wish that things were different. Sometimes a break away from those we love, can actually be beneficial. Dear Mabel Mae, it’s a pity life is so complicated.
