Dream a Little DreamA Chapter by M GarciaAbout my grandfather who passed away 11-4-04Last night I dreamed a little dream A dream about you You were at our beach house It was snowing outside The yard flooded, but accessible
The yard covered in real flamingos Ducks, geed The flamingos making the others stay Weird that Since we never had any of those around
As we sit outside, in the snow You in your favorite recliner Me on a medicine ball We hold hands and watch the scene Unfold
I see a dog come out of the house Smiling I look to you Can we keep her? I ask You nod and head inside
As I play with the puppy I hear granny say You need to stop giving those girls everything they want I roll my eyes and ask the puppy Who's your Mommy? She remembers and licks my face
Heading inside, I go to the bathroom A few minutes pass, I'm nearly done You walk in You don't knock, as usual Almost done I say You nod I wake up
Nearly in tears As the dream rushes back
Nearly in tears As I remember you're not here
