FallingA Story by Miles W.Journal entry in class, short story. As he looked out from the roof of the building, he took a
deep breath, and thought through everything one more time. He wasn't sure if this was right, but he was
ready to do it nonetheless. He was about
40 stories up, and nothing was between him and the cold hard pavement below
him. He took one last breath, and
jumped. He had perfect form. He looked like a skydiver with the perfect form
he had. He felt like a bird. The people looked up and started to scream. As he passed the twenty-eighth floor, he felt
his phone ring in his pocket. He then immediately
realized: He was on the wrong building at the wrong time, and at the wrong charity
event. He pulled the cord on his
parachute which had the logo of the charity he was supposed to be at. He then quickly landed,
got in his car, and hoped that traffic would be light enough for him to make is
across town in twenty minutes. © 2013 Miles W.Author's Note
