Anxiety

Anxiety

A Poem by Lyssa Marie

If it was a color,
it would be black; as dark as a nightmare.
If it was a smell,
it would be as pungent as burning brimstone.
If it was a taste,
it would taste like lead; poisoning my mouth.
If it was a sound,
it would be as shrieking as a siren shattering your ears.

Powerful way of putting it. Anxiety leaves a aftertaste one things we're born with, but we're not. Look at any child (that's not in school yet). Just take a deep breath and simplify your life and do what you can do. Tyfs!
