pretty people

a short story about a girl who had internal conflict but nobody believed her.

She was a true beauty.

Tall and slim, with gleaming eyes and her smile. Oh yes, her million dollar smile,

it attracted them all. They all praised her for her looks but for her,

she couldn't even look into a mirror. She was torn inside.

Everyone told her "pretty girls don't cry,"

and "pretty people don't get bullied." 

Nobody believed she was sad. They thought she had it all, she had no reason to be sad.  

They told her to stop being such a "brat." That people have it worse. 

They didn't know she'd cry herself to sleep each night. 

They didn't know that everyone was cruel to her.  They didn't believe her until she was finally gone.
