Taking a Chance

Something I wrote about a crush awhile ago. I was at a time in my life where I wasn't sure of where I was going in life and in relationships.

A look that's all it took

I looked at you 

You looked back too.

Nothing much just a bunch of looks...

Those looks 

They broke me down,

Gave me hope.

That's all it took, just one look.

You look at me with that twinkle in your eyes,

That hidden laugh... that hidden smile.

I looked back, did I dare to believe

That you looked at me the same way too.

Could it be I found that moment?

Could it be true?

That's all it took 

Just that one look.

It threw me for a loop

am I blind or am I just...

You can't like me...

Or can you?

Doesn't matter.

You walked away.

You left me for that someday great.

I sat there starring at your back,

But that look...

It never left,

Just one look...

That's all it really took.
