Red Candy

Red Candy

A Poem by Lysrie Mendez
"

This is for a person who I'm not sure I consider a friend anymore..... Hot tamales suck.

"

Never mind

Never f'n mind

I shouldn't have asked

Screw Scrimmage

Just lines and codes

Satellites falsely portraying normality

Instead of absolute annoyance

O the lack of authenticity of technology!

All screens on faces

I listen to the oh so unoriginal cattiness drooling and moaning out of my mother's mouth

How stupid

How immature

What am I doing?

I hope the Sky is bright

Cause there's black smoke and molten lava in my 2 inch room

Was this always a problem?

Did I take the blocks?

Form the plan? Hire the workers?

Was I the lead engineer on this one?

Because I've never seen such good work

Such monumental sturdiness

I built the Taj Mahal of hate

I'm tremendous really

And you suck

Loved leech

Lucky really

Semi- surprised at how lucky

I loved you really

But

You knew

Do you glance at my fading tail lights?

No

You

probably

don't.

Author's Note

Lysrie Mendez
Hey reviewers! I wrote and posted a little spur of the moment out of fustration for a friend I've had for a few years that I don't believe in anymore. She did nothing deliberate, but I simply don't consider us friends anymore, it's the little things that add up and build taj mahals of hate. We used to be peas.
