You've Got Me

You've Got Me

A Poem by Indra's Child

Sickly intertwined,

Vines crawl walls,

The floorboards creak,

With dead patrons.

Flooding the halls,

With hollow whispers,

Hidden truths,

Twisted desires, fear without faith,

This is your castle.

Architect, architect!

You've forgotten the windows,

The doors also missing,

In this bleak maze,

Where a stupid spirit like me

Could easily perish,

Falling ill with your good limerick,

And rotten intentions.

To pass swiftly, like-

Limitations you attempt to impose,

On the beams of light, peeking through the cracks

Dancing, dying...

On the cold hearth.
