Believe In Me

Believe In Me

A Poem by Indra's Child

Just for a moment,

For fantasy,

For a phantasm,

(I wrote this poem for a phantom)

I wish to give you the world,

My soul, my body

So you can cradle them,

In your arms,

And melodize with the suffering.

Just for a moment, my love,

I wish to receive your pain,

Your scars,

Your fears, your gentle eyes,

Looking into mine,

So I can soothe your aches,

And restore your faith.

But, phantom,

I am nothing but a

Chaotic orgasm,

A self-destruct sequence,

That begins with the words,

"I love you, too."

Or, so I fear,

That the years may pass deftly,

And I still won't be ready,

Cycles of anguish,

Conforming forlornly,

To the rhythm of ,

A lost soul's footsteps,

In the ash,

Where you may lie down,

And give up walking,

Beside me.

At times, love,

I wish you didn't

Believe in me.

I just want to wake up from the dream. "Hi. It's me. I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I imagine you can also feel me. You won't have to search for me anymore. I'm done running. Done hid.. more..
