Just down the road from here, I saw a sign
It brought my hope to tears, a monotone lie

It said "we stand, in line, we're up on our luck,
we sell revolution for an extra few bucks, yeah we sell revolution for an extra few bucks, yeah we sell revolution for an extra few bucks"

No-one noticed
They all went their ways
They've been sold revolution
Every day
No-one ignored it,
The ignorant banner
x2- They're taught, the grass

Is always tanner
Yeah

Just on the pavement there, I saw a man
He didn't seem to care, that his words can't stand

He said, "Equal ain't fine, let's make it great.
Change my mind, before it's too late, yeah change my mind before it's too late, yeah please change my mind before it's too late,"

He never noticed
His freedom was gone
He fought for his own right,
To fight for too long
Some ignored him,
The ignorant man
x2- They're taught, the grass

Is always tanner
Yeah

About
I just want to wake up from the dream. "Hi. It's me. I know you're out there. I can feel you now. I imagine you can also feel me. You won't have to search for me anymore. I'm done running. Done hid.. more..
