![]() After the Sun Goes DownA Poem by Indra's ChildAfter the sun goes down, In the dark and dreary town, Dew drops mist unsettling wisps Of regrets that once held the air so crisp You could bite into it Like an apple Or fold it Like new papyrus After the sun goes down, The blue sky turns to velvet Lining every street and road In every house, tent, and abode Grasping onto midnight's code, Its firm fingers tightly sewn Into the fabric of the node After the sun goes down, I sit in solitude- Waiting forever does it seem, For the hopeful, does allude Tiny stranger particles, Moving through the articles, Collision course finds it's chorus Something I never knew To me, ever so new After the sun goes down, Is before the sun comes up- My time to wonder about how, I will next fill my cup. Before the sun comes around the globe, Is the deciding time for giving up.
