Poppy

Poppy

A Poem by Sonya
"

I'm taking guitar lessons and just learned 3 minor chords and wrote a song with them.

"

I'm trying it again

Another beginning to an end

I need a dying man

'Cause I lost my baby

I care like no other can

Like a mother to my man

I take him in my arms

To replace my baby

I make him eat

I make him sleep

I beg him for his soul to keep

But he won't be my baby

I'm searching for a soul to love

I'm searching for my broken one

She comes back in the needs

Of my new baby

His raven curls

Are my precious pearl's

She would have been

My baby

I dreamed that she

Radiated heat

From a poppy

On my belly

If I can find her other half

In a man who makes me laugh

And keeps me sane

In the face of doom

If I can turn to we

And we come in to some money

She will send her sister

To console me

I'm searching for a soul to love

I'm searching for my broken one

She comes back in the needs

Of my new baby

I care like no other can

Like a mother to my man

I take him in my arms

To replace my baby

I'm trying it again

a beginning to an end

I need a dying man

'Cause I lost my baby
