My own worst enemyA Poem by Crystal RoseAbout my battle with depression.A few years ago My heart filled with happiness Not a cloud in the sky My mind filled with Puppys and rainbows
Oh wait and see, I will come for thee...
Soon the puppies die And the rainbows fade And the sky Rains on me My heart What heart There is none I can find
Oh wait and see, I will come for thee...
Nothing to live for Everything to die for My twisted view of life Becomes my reality My happiness is sadness And angry becomes pleased In a cry for help A worthless life In my eyes
Oh wait and see, I will come for thee...
I used to be afraid But then it became welcomed Death was my friend Life was my enemy Blades and fire Become my life Trying to cut Restraining chains of bondage
Oh wait and see, I will come for thee...
My eyes turn black From lack of sleep My clothes are wrinkled From lack of care My smile fades From lack of happiness
Oh can't you see, I came for thee...
The few friends I have Notice somthing wrong with me That voice inside Was lying you see Life is my friend Death is my enemy Thats what they said I didn't believe A battle never won
I'm my own worst enemy.
