This poem expresses the importance of encouraging one another, and scriptural thoughts to solidify the points made. all quotes from NW translation.
many times we come to points in our life when we need to be reminded.
its at those times that we need the "light" so that our mental eyes are no longer blinded.
So this is a reminder once again to read when we need encouragement.
And i know you will recognize familiar passages and see that God's words are truly brilliant.
There are many who suffer from a trying illness;
this is what we can say when these things we witness.
"even if the man we are outside is wasting away,
certainly the man we are inside is being renewed day to day" (2 Cor 4:16)
There are even those who lost some in death,
and in their grief and sorrow they shout.
but remind them that "the hour is coming in which
all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out"(John 5:28, 29)
There are some who are persecuted for doing God's will,
they are hated because their resolve is solid, firm and still.
PLEASE remind them “If he suffers as a Christian, let him not feel shame,
but let him keep on glorifying God in this name.” (1 Pet. 4:16)
and even if their families disown them and leave,
and they stare at their reflection at the drink in their cup,
remember to tell them that “In case my own father and my own mother did leave me,
even Jehovah himself would take me up.”(Ps. 27:10)
Or when they see the injustice in the world
and even just to watch they feel they no longer can endure,
remember to read to them the Psalm: "Just a little while longer,
and the wicked one will be no more" (Ps 37:10)
There are some who will undergo financial hardships
and will be tested as to whether their loyalty to Jah is true.
But please remind them: Keep on, then, seeking first the kingdom and his righteousness,
and all these other things will be added to you.”( Matt. 6:33)
Then there are those who feel distressed
thinking that because of their sin, they are now in danger
however, I beg you, please remind them that Jehovah is a
"God of acts of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to anger."(Neh 9:17)
Now you may have noticed that I have pointed out how to encourage others,
and believe me, for this there is a valid reason.
we are living in "critical times hard to deal with"
and to build each other up, now is the season.
You see, even though we have our own problems,
if we encourage others, it will aid us in believing
that no matter how much we try to overcome our problems,
there will still be more "happiness in giving then there is in receiving" (Acts 20:35)
So "let us consider one another to incite to love and fine works" (Heb 10:24)
and encourage each other to become even bolder
in preaching the good news from door to door,
and serving our God "shoulder to shoulder"(Zeph 3:9)
And lets delight our God and look to encourage others
when some trial should stir up.
because He said of us: "if one of them should fall,
the other one can raise his partner up" (Eccl 4:10)
So when we see a brother or sister suffering,
let's endeavor to nurse them back to spiritual health.
And show our love to them in imitation of our God
because our "God is love" itself.(1 John 4:8)
I am simply trying to understand myself and grow from my poetry. If I happen to catch your eye, then by all means stop by, but to be honest, this is all therapeutic, to learn to love again before I di.. more..
