This poem is dedicated to the most important woman in my life.
everyday that i see you, i just want to say,
how i truly feel about you in each and every way.
You do so much for me, yet what do i do in return?
You have taught me appreciation, yet more i have to learn.
appreciation isn't just saying thank you, it's taking action as well.
You're now an inspiration to me, tho this i would probably never tell.
You're the difference maker in my life, the woman, that i have always needed.
you have given me things unconditionally, and nonverbally taught me things that i heeded.
I thought that i was lonely, i wanted a lady on my side.
but then i realized i have you, and to myself i have lied.
I now fully embrace you, I try to show my love when i can.
i want to be appreciative of you and humble myself as a man.
I know that im not into saying how i feel, but i felt the need to post this.
even though you will never see my poem, for you to accept what i do give, i will insist.
For those who ARE reading this, you obviously know that this woman could not be anyone other,
the greatest, most influential, best thing that happened to me, or in other words, my loving mother.
appreciation isn't just saying thank you, it's taking action as well.
You're now an inspiration to me, tho this i would probably never tell.
I like these lines the best. The poem is a wonderful tribute to a mother. Any mother would feel honored to have such a poem dedicated to them. The only thing that I found distracting is the variation in the capitalization of the "i/I", and the variation of capitalization of the first letter in a new sentence. Small details that make the reader wonder if it is significant or not.
This is one of the most touching poems that I have read in a long time! I loved every line. I love your delivery, at first it gave the impression that you were referring to a sweetheart but then as the poem progressed you realized that you were actually talking about your mother. AWESOME WRITE!!
that is so sweet. for some reason when it comes time to show appreciation and love to our parents sometimes it's harder than one would think. By writing this poem, even though you're right she will probably never see it, your real feelings do show. great flow and a beautiful touching piece of poetry.
Writing a poem for your mother is in itself a way of showing appreciation. I'm sure she'll like it if she reads it. This is a nice poem. I've noticed the endings have a rhyming scheme. To be able to maintain it from start to end, it's really good. By reading this poem, I realize what a good son (? correct me if I'm wrong about this one) you are. Good Job. All that's left is to show it to her. I challenge you to do so.

I am simply trying to understand myself and grow from my poetry. If I happen to catch your eye, then by all means stop by, but to be honest, this is all therapeutic, to learn to love again before I di.. more..
