Thoughts Turning To You

Thoughts Turning To You

A Poem by Lestat's daughter

My thoughts always turn to you.

No matter what I do they always return.

But the images are always new.

You said we could never be.

That we weren't two halves of a whole.

But you don't see what I see.

All those girls made you smile.

But then they crushed you again.

They turned you into a crushed pile.

I could see us as one.

I thought you knew once,

But now I want you to see me like I'm worth none.

As long as your happy I don't mind.

If you do come around to me I'll dance for joy.

But until then I hope they're kind.

I know and understand this well.
This poem is clear, concise, well structured. I really enjoyed it. You have put down the feelings and emotions of rejection, clearly without the blurred feelings that are human nature and distracting. Thank you, it was a breath of fresh air.

A poem of true love. If you're willing to see someone you love with someone else as long as they're happy, how could you not love that person dearly.

The last stanza really touched me. Over all a fantastic piece, and you really wrap it up nicely in the end there. I think we've all been in a similar situation before, and it's not pleasant in the least bit. I feel a lot of emotion in this piece. You've got some great stuff here, thanks for sharing it.

This is so sad. Only true love wishes the best for the person they love, even if it isn't with them. Though it's still so painful..

You reveal your heart in this poem, and it's a loving one.

Nicely done my friend.
