Sealed Lips

Sealed Lips

A Poem by Lynn's Poems

Her lips were sewn tightly together
In hope that it would lesson her pain
But Inside of her mind a war had laid
And this is where it would remain!

Keeping this secret inside of her head
Such sorrow was too heavy to bare
So she sheds all her tears on the inside
With depression now looming in there!

Her attitudes now getting to worsen
As it greets the torment in her brain
Still trying to cope without saying a word
Strong feelings of disruption and strain!

So she met half way up with her conscience
And told it, it’s time to speak TRUE
As anger had ridden around in her mind
So ugly this VIOLENCE, which had grew!

Her lips WERE sewn tightly together
But she decided to cut open the STRINGS
Then pain disappeared and love crept back in
Respecting the HOPE new life BRINGS!

This reminds me a lot of me when I was younger. But I love how in the end, the person broke the silence as well as a nagging cycle of seclusion. Nice work!
