Still Waters

Still Waters

A Poem by Ruth Y. Nott

Darkness descends

and my soul is filled with peace.

Moonlight on the still waters

calms my anxious heart.

Night surrounds me

but I am not afraid

For Your presence,

My Lord,

Hovers near.

I am blessed

By the comfort of your Spirit

Which enfolds me

with a blanket of love.

Though clouds drift in

and rain may fall,

I will always walk in your light,

Moonlight,

Sunlight,

Sonlight,

You fill my every need.
