Storm Away

Storm away,

the rain is here to stay,

It seems like only yesterday,

when I was happy and okay

Storm away,

I will never see the shine of day,

Please let me mourn,

the storm the sound of my heart being torn

Storm away,

why is she not there to say "its okay"?

I will never see her again during my life,

all because of murderous human strife

Storm away,

why didn't she stay?

Our love was happy and gay,

yet Death, she had to obey

Storm away,

in my mind I keep pressing replay,

What could've gone wrong?

well goodbye life, so long

Note: This poem is about when one of my friend's dog got run over by a car. It happened a long time ago, but I still used the material. :(

Author's Note

I got the inspiration for this poem watching a thunderstorm from a window in my house. I LOVE thunderstorms. The almost metallic smell. Or that could be the smell of the metal screen in my window, since I press my nose right up against the screen, trying to see more. :D . Anyway, the sound of the rain and the thunder is just amazing and so relaxing. What do you think about thunderstorms? Oh, I almost forgot, and the poem!
