An Eternity of Sadness

An Eternity of Sadness

A Poem by Lyanne

Have you ever heard a cry,
In the holy hour of the night?
Full of sorrow, pain and despair
An essence of heartbreak.

A fading voice
Freezing cold as ice.
Trembling with great fear,
Asking help, flowing with tears.

Mistress of no prowess,
A queen of sadness;
With heart of humility,
And spirit of inferiority.
Simplicity she has
Love she lacks
Still like a rock,
Cold as ice.

Ignored and vain
As if she's insane.
Every second, every moment
A living lament.

If only the sun would shine
Upon this suppressed entity,
Embrace her with warmth and vitality
To make her life appear to be happy.

If only there is something
That will seep all worries and fear,
To make her life appear
Like a happy one to see
For a girl like thee..

A sad poem, it is well written. Stanza 3 does seem a little long, as the rest of the stanzas are short, only 4 or 5 lines. It would be better to keep them like that, it ruins the flow a little. Besides that it is well written, and sounds good. XX
