love forgives...

love forgives...

A Poem by mockingbird shadow

The beauty of the first love pure and untainted

Blissful ignorance resides between two souls

Endless pink colored filled days are theirs

Then the first mistake

Loves forgives not, but blinds

Ignorant of the first truth

It continues to push

It bends you until you almost break

Then releases, leaving instead emptiness

Grief pierced deep

Resides in your bones

Loves forgives…

not those who are stone,

nor those left in shreds

But lovers still ‘temp to mend in vain

To retrieve lost beauty

But never the same is one’s love of the past

Though of the now, holds beauty anew

For like a rose bush, one’s capacity to love blooms infinite

Each flower different from the rest
