Place of Change

All her life she's felt incomplete

All her life she's felt unsure

Living amongst the shadows' feet

Where many problems she had to endure

Knew she had to come to light

Or she can't fight the demons like a shark

Knew she had to prove her might

To herself so she doesn't feel so dark

And then she found a new place

A place to start afresh

A place where she can show her grace

A place where it's okay to be a mess

Welcomed she felt with open arms

Never had she felt so accepted

It made her feel like she could reach the stars

Maybe now she'd get the life she wanted

All kinds of people she met

Fun, insane and caring

They gave her an opening to let her grow

They let her find her calling

Often some questioned her capabilities

But it didn't make her weak

Because there were so many other amenities

That the rest gave her to make her chic

Never can she ever forget the beauty of that place

Or ever go back to her old dark space

Thanks is too small to express the gratitude she feels

To those angels that helped her broken soul heal
