A New Beginning

Reaching the end of one bridge, another starts

Looking at the sun-kissed horizon she finds new parts

Pieces they are of a life she still doesn't know

Pieces she needs help for she is still so young so

The things she understands is vast

But the sections of the unknown bigger

Scared she should be to leave her past

But the excitement of the new is crazier

Fright isn't knocking at her brand new door

In its place is determination

Determination to swim to the shore

With no paddles for floatation

Decided she has to fall right down

Only then will she get up

Only then will she fall again

And rise every time the sun comes up
