Another Flower By Her Grave

Another Flower By Her Grave

A Poem by Lakshmi Ramesh

Those days he still remembers
The days so warm and fuzzy
Those words he still remembers
The ones she said, oh so lovely
When did those things get bitter he didn't know
He regrets what he said now that he knows that
The Grim Reaper came
To take her beautiful soul
Didn't let her know how much she was loved
Her tombstone is engraved
Her departure date has come
And now his are going to be just
Another flower by her grave
Wish he'd known that he'd have no more chances
To rewrite their tale together
Wish he'd known that there'd be no more openings
To take his words back altogether
The pale horse came
Took her beautiful soul
Far away to a place where no one could claim her
Her tombstone is engraved
He couldn't tell her what he felt
And now his are going to be just
Another flower by her grave
