Misery

Misery

A Poem by Brittney Solomon
"

i need help with the compisition of this one

"

Life beyond the looking glass

The hurt you can’t see

Pain source so deep and vast

But she hides her misery

A face concealed

A smile worked up

Not to cause a scene

But only now has time revealed

I’m only hurting me

Kidding myself saying it’s not real

Like some bad dream

As if one day I’ll wake up

And only find me

A girl force to be encaged

To grow up to quickly

To shield herself from the pain

To keep protecting

Her innocence her purity

The things that keep her clean

A nightmare that never ended

There’s no use in pretending

Here is a girl hoping

Somebody y finally sees

The pain behind the mask

The crying through the laughs

The anger through the smile

If only for a while

Somebody lends a hand

Or just be a friend

Helps from day to day

Starts to take away the pain
