THE AFRICAN SONG!

this is yet another one about corruption.. enjoy and love it if you hate corrupt leaders as much as i do!

  a song,

sweet song sung by many..

it could be a lullaby

but it wouldn't qualify to be one.!

 

its got no verses, chorus

or even let alone have a ryhme.

wait, actually it does have a rhyme

but that would entirely depend on

which country and what part of AFRICA.

oh, yeh and the SINGERS

how could i have forgotten that?

 

West, East, North, South

and in the central!

its claimed its own territories now..

but it still goes on and on and on!

 

wanna sing it??

nah dont bother because

yah, ma friend

aint got what it takes!

 

wait!

may be you do!

all you need is the hunger for money.

what?

you thought that you needed a sweet voice?

actually, as a matter of fat you need a

coarse voice to demand for the money"

 

you are kidding me!

do you still want me to say the word?

after all the above, dont you get it?

ohhh man!!

ok, its corruption"

Author's Note

just got this idea when one of my friends back in uganda was morning about poverty and the corruption... then i replied that it was the "african song"
so i decided to turn it into a poem.

unfortunately you are right. African countries are supposed to be independent countries but the fact is they are still under colonization of western countries and the African people loyal to the west what resulted in all poverty , ignorance and corruption, thank you for the depressing song..

Wasn't sure what direction you were headed in the beginning of this read, it seemed witty to a point, swimming is sarcasm but with a definite deep undertone. What a unique way to describe ''corruption' as a song. I enjoyed this read, dark, flippant and informative, just my cup of tea. Excellent!
