DAWN CHORUS

DAWN CHORUS

A Poem by lua
"

an oldie

"
the smoke,
grey
chimney pots
a terracotta frame holding
your figure
a silhouette shrinking under the
chorus of light the
chorus of birds it’s the
chorus of dawn

pack up the evening’s bags of
forlorn-dusted words, hide the absurdity
that you dreamt in any other
way, said prayers to the fading
moon
a white stain on a white sky
a blank canvas in a hollow room

you’re invited inside,
keep your eyes shut and your
arms tied
mouth wide
singing the shadows of branches creeping into kitchen windows
a hum of colour
the hymn of life

October imagery....this poem is so cool; it is like an abstract painting...

could read it, stare at it for the longest time...and each moment brings something more to mind.
